New medical director selected for SWMC Women’s and Children’s Services
Southwest Washington Medical Center has selected Peter Chandler, M.D., Master of Public Health, as the new medical director for Women’s and Children’s Services at the hospital. Chandler will retain his role as medical director of SWMC’s Healthy Steps Women’s and Children’s Center as well. He is also chair-elect of SWMC’s OB-GYN Committee.
Chandler attended the UCLA School of Public Health and completed his medical training at Northwestern Medical School. He completed his OB/GYN Residency at Ohio State University in 1997. Previously, Chandler was a major in the US Air Force stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
