Randy Sweet has been elected port commissioner at the Port of Kalama. Sweet continues to consult in the environmental arena and is active in commercial and industrial property development. Sweet graduated from Lower Columbia College and attended the University of Oregon where he received a master’s degree in Geology and Hydrogeology. In 1974 he founded Sweet-Edwards and Associates which later merged with EMCON. He retired in 1995 as president of EMCON.
