The Community Foundation appoints two new board members
Steve Hix and Rick Melching have recently been appointed to the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Hix is a high-technology entrepreneur with 30 years experience managing and founding various successful high-technology companies. Hix is now CEO and co-founder of Steridian Corporation. He is also on the board of directors for Melexis, a Belgian company and Nevada-based company, i3.
Hix is also actively involved in the philanthropic community. He has served as chairman and in other leadership positions on the board of directors of several leading nonprofit organizations in the area.
Melching is recently retired from the Evergreen School District where he has served as superintendent since 1996. Melching is actively involved in many professional, civic and charitable organizations and is currently on the boards of Marathon Education Partners Foundation, Columbia River Economic Development Council and the Children’s Center.
