Burgerville food drive to benefit Share

BurgerVille

“We are delighted to have Burgerville as a partner for our spring appeal, which raises funds for our Hunger Response Program,” said Diane McWithey, executive director of Share, in a press release. “When school doors are closed, hundreds of children in our community are at risk of hunger. The money and food raised during our spring appeal will help address this issue through our Summer Meals and Hot Meals program and will also benefit our Backpack Program, when school begins again in September.”

Most needed food items include: canned tuna or chicken, peanut butter, jelly or jam, fruit cups, canned fruits or vegetables, granola bars, boxed meals, 1 lb. packages of pasta or rice and canned spaghetti sauce.

Participating locations include: Hazel Dell (9909 NE HWY 99); Central Park (2200 E Fourth Plain Blvd.); Heights (7401 E Mill Plain Blvd.); Cascade Park (11704 SE Mill Plain Blvd.); Fisher’s Landing (16416 SE McGillivray Blvd.); Heritage Center (6700 NE 162nd Ave.); and Orchards (10903 NE Fourth Plain Blvd.).
