Camas-Washougal Community Chest launches 2014 fundraising campaign

Camas-Washougal Community Chest logoThe Camas-Washougal Community Chest (CWCC) launched its fundraising drive Tuesday, October 1, with a goal of raising $78,000 for the 2014 campaign. The money raised is used to fund grants to local nonprofit organizations that run youth programs or otherwise serve Camas and Washougal residents in need.

The CWCC recently wrapped up a successful 2013 campaign which saw it fund 18 grants for a total of $83,795. Major support for the campaign came from Georgia Pacific employees and the Georgia Pacific Foundation. Other major donors in 2013 included HP employees and the HP Corporation, Camas School District employees, Pendleton Woolen Mill employees, Exterior Wood, Inc. and David Moss and Family.

To help reach its $78,000 goal for 2014, the CWCC will seek donations from individuals and businesses in Camas and Washougal. For information, visit the CamasWashougalCommunityChest website.
