The Vancouver-based brewery received a gold medal for its Two-Sixteen Red Ale in the Irish Red Ale category and a bronze medal for Shimmergloom Stout in the Irish/British Stout category.
75 breweries from around the state competed in the event, which was held with the endorsement of the Washington Beer Commission as a way to celebrate Washington’s growing brewing culture and to recognize excellence in the craft.
Loowit Brewing Company was founded in 2010 by Devon Bray and Thomas Poffenroth. The company is located at 507 Columbia St. in downtown Vancouver.
