When asked why the business is for sale, Cheryl Eggert laughed and said, “It’s because we’re getting old.” The couple would like to remain involved in some capacity, Cheryl said, but having owned and operated Pied Piper since its founding, they are ready to “take on less responsibility.”
An established supporter of area little league teams and other nonprofit organizations, Cheryl said it’s important that the new owner maintains that commitment to community.
“I really think they would be sorry if they didn’t give back to the community,” she said. “Compare us to franchise chains; having a local family-owned business is just a different feel.”
Pied Piper Pizza has seven employees.
