“Streets Alive” to transform uptown, downtown Vancouver August 18

The event features a 4.2-mile, automobile-free route that takes participants through downtown, past Fort Vancouver, over to Uptown Village and John Ball Park, and then back downtown.

“Sunday Streets Alive will literally get people moving – whether that’s to bike, walk, run or skate,” said Dr. Alan Melnick, Clark County Health Officer. “We hope this event will encourage residents to embrace an active lifestyle. Regular physical activity is one of the best ways to prevent obesity and a range of chronic diseases.”

Organizers are encouraging the business community to participate. For more information, visit www.sundaystreetsalive.org.
