The Southwest Washington Contractors Association (SWCA) has awarded eight local students with scholarships totaling $5,000. Recipients include:
- Mykal Ingram (Vancouver) – Clark County Skills Center
- David Seaman (Woodland) – Woodland High School
- Jeff Tanner (Ridgefield) – Clark County Skills Center
- Olivia Kunkel (Vancouver) – Western Oregon University
- Alexander Van Dinter (La Center) – Clark College
- Cadie Noelle Dye (Vancouver) – WSU Vancouver
- Danielle Hanewinckel (Vancouver) – Clark County Skills Center
- Max King (Vancouver) – Clark County Skills Center
The scholarship is available to students entering or attending community colleges, vocational-technical schools, or 4-year colleges/universities. Recipient selection was based on academic, community service and industry connection criteria by the SWCA Scholarship Committee chaired by Sheri Clark of NW Natural.
