Partners in Careers to host leadership transition event
Partners in Careers (PIC) will host a breakfast reception on Monday, September 30 to recognize executive director Pam Brokaw for her leadership and accomplishments during the past four and a half years at PIC as she leaves to assume a new career in pastoral ministry. The morning will also introduce the community to PIC’s incoming executive director, Sharon Pesut.
“Under Pam’s leadership PIC has grown new programs that serve our community in life changing ways,” said PIC Board Chair Leslie Currie in a press release. “We want to say thank you for a job well done and recognize Pam for her leadership and commitment to community.”
During Brokaw’s time at PIC the organization has expanded its efforts to help people stabilize their lives and secure employment. Two new major program areas are PIC’s work with veterans and youth.
Brokaw announced plans to assume a new position last spring. PIC’s Board of Directors appointed Pesut, PIC’s operations manager, as the nonprofit’s incoming executive director at its August Board meeting.
The reception will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at PIC, 3210 N.E. 52nd Street in Vancouver.
