WSU Vancouver program receives national endorsement

The IMA recently launched an initiative to endorse universities that offer undergraduate programs that enable students to pursue and earn the Certified Management Accountant credential. The first two universities to win the endorsement are Washington State University Vancouver and Pennsylvania State University.

“The endorsement is a significant achievement, not just for accounting but for the College of Business and our campus,” said Claire Latham, associate professor of accounting in WSU Vancouver’s College of Business. “Our external stakeholders will see the endorsement as a testament to the quality of our program. I see it very much as attracting students as well as employers of our students to campus.”

“Our faculty has been responsive to the needs of the community and the career aspirations of our students,” added Jane Cote, academic director for WSU Vancouver’s College of Business. “This award is accepted with much pride for the success of their efforts.”
