The Clark County Chamber of Commerce on Dec. 12 recognized the six recipients of the 2006 Best in County Awards. The event was held at the Hostess House in Vancouver.
Established in 2004, the awards program seeks to highlight leadership and inspiration in all areas of commerce. Accepting the award on behalf of their company or organization this year were (left to right) Dr. Troy Dreiling, Absolute Life Chiropractic, Networking Award; Jon Girod, president, Quail Homes, Public Advocacy Award; Karen Waske, director of patient services, Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital, Entrepreneur Award; Bob Walton, also of Quail Homes; Steve Schulte and Michael Butts, Clark County Community Development, Business Services Award; Vickie Gappmayer, Arlea Parks and Naomi Carmargo, Umpqua Bank, Visibility Award; Teri Polette, operations improvement manager, and Frank Nichols, president, Silicon Forest Electronics Inc., Training Programs Award.
Honorable mention went to the American Red Cross, the Building Industry Association of Clark County Remodelers Council, Columbia Asthma & Allergy Clinic, Keller Williams Realty, Marger Johnson & McCollom, PC, Pacific Lifestyle Homes, Satsang Yoga & Wellness Center, TeleSmart Networks Inc., TwinStar Credit Union and Washington State University Vancouver.
