Additionally, Denzin said, CenturyLink’s fast fiber-based business solutions will compliment Southwest Washington’s Innovation Partnership Zone (IPZ) designation and local efforts to attract new businesses and drive economic growth.
“What we see in the Clark County area is burgeoning chip manufacturing, software development and application development,” he said. “We’re bringing this to the area because we want to help support the vision that the city of Vancouver, Clark County and the Columbia River Economic Development Council (CREDC) have, which is to attract these particular firms and allow them to grow with the necessary infrastructure in place.”
Mike Bomar, president of CREDC, applauded CenturyLink’s new service offering and commitment to Clark County.
“We look forward to the development of fiber services in Clark County and strongly believe that this important investment will have a tremendous impact on business growth and innovation,” said Bomar. “CenturyLink is an outstanding partner and we look forward to working collaboratively with them to bring high-speed Internet to our business community and beyond.” Denzin said CenturyLink has multiple fiber options for businesses to choose from, and that prices will be determined by the level of service they opt for.
This week’s launch in Clark County coincides with CenturyLink’s business and consumer gigabit service launch in a total of 16 cities (including Portland Metro) and extends the service already available in parts of Omaha, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.
