DiscoverOrg is one the nation’s 50 best places to work, according to a new ranking from Inc. magazine. The magazine recognized the Vancouver-based sales and marketing intelligence software company in its annual ‘Best Workplaces’ list.
The list is the result of a comprehensive measurement of private U.S. firms that have “created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement and stellar benefits,” according to the magazine.
“This honor is a reflection of the culture we’ve worked hard to create at DiscoverOrg,” said Henry Schuck, DiscoverOrg CEO, in a press release. “Our entire team is committed to a singular purpose of accelerating growth – both for our customers and our employees. We recognize that every single employee is an integral part of the company’s overall success.”
The 2017 Inc. Best Workplaces Awards assessed applicants on the basis of benefits offered and employees’ responses to a 30-question survey fielded by each of the applying companies. Responses were evaluated by a third-party research team.
Within the survey, according to DiscoverOrg, its employees said the company “encourages them to learn, grow and become better in their roles, while at the same time treating them with dignity and fairness and providing ample and ongoing training.” Employees also cited a “collaborative environment of mutual care and respect, inclusivity, and the feeling of being valued as an employee and a human.”
Founded in Ohio in 2007, DiscoverOrg moved to Vancouver in 2009 and has since seen its sales and staff steadily increase. The company appeared on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list in 2015, and has been on the Inc. 5000 list for sixth consecutive years.
Since 2014, the firm’s staff has grown from 114 employees to more than 300. In 2016, the company posted record growth, with $71 million in annual recurring revenue and 41 percent revenue growth.
In April, DiscoverOrg received the Vancouver Business Journal’s Business Growth Award for Fastest Growing Company 6-10 Years. Last month, the company was honored with the 2017 TechOregon Technology Award for Growth Company of the Year by the Technology Association of Oregon (TAO).
