Current job: Vice president and member of the Board of Directors of BergerABAM, a Vancouver-based engineering and environmental consulting firm.
Proudest professional moment: Seeing how downtown Vancouver has changed over the last 20 years. I worked on the Esther Short subarea and Vancouver City Center Vision plans and our firm is involved with designing the new waterfront park. It’s great to have been a small part of all of the new activity and development.
First job: At 15 years old, I held a Saturday job in a shoe store in my hometown Glasgow, Scotland.
Fun fact: I through-hiked the 2,000 mile Appalachian Trail with my husband. It took six months to complete.
Favorite spot on a Saturday night: Anywhere with my husband, son and Welsh terrier, Spike.
Favorite movie: Most recently, “Brooklyn.”
Music of choice: Anything my teenage son isn’t listening to. Bowie, The Waterboys, The Smiths, Adele.
Favorite place to eat: In Vancouver, Lapellah. In Portland, Por Que No or Bollywood Theater.
