Current job: Executive director of Vancouver’s Downtown Association
Proudest Professional Moment: Lots of those! Our nonprofit is making a difference in large and small ways. Choose only one? Yikes. How about when the attendance at one of our open meetings exceeded 150! People are interested in what we are doing and want to know more.
First job: Other than babysitting, I used to clean a gas station/hardware store just down the road from my house in Ontario, Oregon. It was a plum of a job for a country girl!
Fun fact: I am a really good matchmaker.
Favorite spot on a Saturday night: I am an all-in grandmother. I love it when my grandkids have a sleepover at our house and we are in the middle of a pile of kids.
Favorite movie: “The Producers” is one of my favorites. Hilarious. Perfect blend of irreverence and ‘why not?!’ The movie reminds me of a fun trip my kids and I took to New York. We saw the play on Broadway.
Music of choice: I love music. Depending on my mood, good old rock and roll, hymns of the faith and country western.
Favorite place to eat: I have a ton of favorites in our downtown. Wouldn’t I be in trouble if I named a favorite? I plead the fifth…
