Current employer or place of business: Ed Lynch Estate
Organization(s) I volunteer with: Arts of Clark County; Stone Soup; Share; Leadership Clark County; Planned Parenthood; Humane Society of SW WA; Families On The Outside; and many others from time to time.
How I got involved: I began to get more involved in my community about five years ago. Interestingly enough, it was political activism and campaign volunteering that was a catalyst for bringing me closer to some of the inspirational people and organizations that make this community an awesome place to live.
Why I give back: I’m driven to give back for several reasons. First of all, I live here, this is where my family and friends are, and I want Clark County to be the most vibrant community possible for us all to work and play in. Also, I’m not a fan of stagnation, so if there is an opportunity to be involved in positive change and forward motion, I’m there!
Proudest moment as a volunteer: Any time that I can help make a difference for others.
What local challenge or issue are you most passionate about? There are so many. Social justice issues, specifically those impacting our LGBTQ community, women, children and the elderly.
Just for fun: What are your hidden talents? I can fold an origami crane in no time flat, I have a mean roundhouse kick and I enjoy drumming.
“Paying it Forward: Volunteer Businessperson of the Week” is sponsored by Pacific Continental Bank.
