AWB’s 2014 Community Service Award winner, Mill Creek Pub, was recognized in the Community Beautification category for their work on a community garden as well as other community projects. The award was presented Tuesday at The Davenport Hotel in Spokane during AWB’s annual Spring Meeting.
When asked about the recognition Russell Brent said, “It is nice to see efforts in Clark County being recognized. I like what the AWB is doing to recognize businesses making a difference in the community they serve. By reaching out to their base around the state they assure the little voice is heard.”
AWB President Kris Johnson said, “AWB members give back to their communities in countless ways, donating time, supplies and expertise. These award winners exemplify that spirit of generosity and enterprise. Washington is a stronger, more vibrant place because of employers like these.”
Information on all eight award winners can be found at the AWB website.
